Genshin Impact brings 6 new event challenges - but if you want rewards, you need a partner

In Genshin Impact, on August 4th, the second half of the event from update 2.8 will start: the “Reminiscence Tour” promotion. You can face a total of 6 challenges, but you have to find a co-op partner.

The event takes you back to the Golden Apple Archipelago, where you have to complete several challenges on the islands. These are divided into three categories:

  • descentMission: Throw yourself off a platform and fight your way down. You have to kill all opponents on the platforms and reach the sea surface within a certain time.
  • assault: Within a limited time you ride a wave rider across the sea and in between you have to defeat opponents on platforms.
  • ship escort: You escort a raft to a destination, taking care not to destroy it.

There are 2 challenges of each variant, so you can contest a total of 6 of them.

But you can’t do all 6 at once. Starting August 4th, a new one will be added each day, starting with the two dismounts, then Assault and finally Ship Escort. All challenges will then be available on August 9th. The event runs until August 15th.

Some Genshin Impact players find that the updates are being released too quickly. They can’t keep up with their resin.

What are the requirements? In order to participate in the event, you must have reached adventure level 32. You must also complete the quest A Summer Stay by the Sea I, the first part of the 2.8 patch event.

Most importantly, you need a partner to participate. The challenges cannot be started solo. You either put the group together yourself or find a random player in the multiplayer mode.

What rewards are there? After completing each challenge, you will receive rewards. These include Urgestein, Mora, A Hero’s Wisdom and Material to improve your talents.

What do you say about the event? Does the need for co-op lead to finally playing Genshin Impact together instead of just roaming around alone? Do you think that brings the players closer together? Have you already played the first part of the event? Write it to us in the comments here on MeinMMO!
