Guild Wars 2: Feast of the Four Winds 2022 – what’s new?
It’s time for the double celebration of 2022 again in Guild Wars 2! The Festival of the Four Winds has begun, opening the gates to both the Crown Pavilion and the Labyrinthine Cliffs again. In these two areas you can expect the usual activities such as the fight against the pavilion bosses, the challenges of running the gauntlet, ray races, griffin parcours or treasure hunts! Of course, a new year also brings new rewards, with the added bonus of a fresh activity made possible by End of Dragons. By the way, the Festival of the Four Winds runs until August 23, 2022!
Skiff racing at the Labyrinthine Cliffs
You can now use the boat that you unlock in End of Dragons for a race for the first time. For this, the developers have designed a course for skiffs, where you have to skilfully balance turning maneuvers and speed moments. You can get a taste of it in this video. Especially funny: If you have passengers in the boat, they can use special emotes to regenerate your stamina!
New Clockwork Weapons: Festival of the Four Winds reward
Of course, there are new rewards so that players don’t just jump into the new skiff race, but also devote themselves to the familiar activities. The meta-achievement “Customs of the Four Winds” brings you 50 success points, but also a clockwork weapon of your choice from 9 individual successes. With a lot of luck, more copies of this new set can be found in the Four Winds Prize Bag get (three a day about success Traveler of the Four Winds available). This is what these weapons look like:
Special skin via achievement in Festival of the Four Winds 2022
If you complete 18 Customs of the Four Winds achievements, you will receive a unique shoulder armor skin called the Zephyrite Shawl. This will only be available this year – next year you will have to dig deep into the digital gold bag. The unusual skin is great for cloth armor wearers and anyone who is a little less into “armor” armor – in this screenshot we’ve also highlighted the four color channels with green, pink, gold and purple as an example:

How to get the Windswept Weapons in GW2?
The now well-known Kodan NPC and weaponsmith Funkenstein is also at the start of this event. He has once again brought new works with him, all of which follow the theme of “wind storm”. So they look like they belong right in the hands of the elemental Zephyrites. Here’s the sword:

You can get the mace, pistol, scepter and sword of this mini-set with luck from the Zephyrite Supply Crates, which can be obtained primarily by trading materials by speaking to the merchant NPCs in the Labyrinthine Cliffs. Alternatively, simply visit Funkenstein, who will sell you these weapons for 4 gold and 1,000 festival tokens each. You can also find more information about the Festival of the Four Winds at the official Guild Wars 2 site.
