Koch Media: Complete rebranding including renaming to PLAION - News

Koch Media has been a constant in the distribution of films, video games and software since 1994 and is an integral part of the German media industry. With Prime Matter, a new label was founded last year that is supposed to place even greater value on gaming. However, after 28 years it’s time for a little more fresh wind and so the company has announced that it will be operating under a new name with immediate effect: PLAION.

Since joining Embracer Group in 2018, growth has accelerated and we have become increasingly diversified. We have chosen our new name to reflect the evolution of our company’s content and our global expansion, but also to better represent who we are and the path we are taking.

Because a mere name change would of course be too easy, the company was also subjected to a complete rebranding. You can find the fresh logo as a teaser image in this news. This shows a stylized “P”, which can also be seen as a play button. How much will actually change for end customers remains to be seen, since the typical sales labels Deep Silver, Prime Matter, Milestone, Vertigo Games and Ravenscourt will remain in place and the new name will only be found in the small print.

Kundratitz finds even more enthusiastic and motivated words for the future of his company:
