GTA 6: New details about map, setting and main characters known
This is known about GTA 6: Developer Rockstar Games, based in New York, has remained silent. At least as far as GTA 6 is concerned. In early February, fans received confirmation that the next title in the Grand Theft Auto series was in development. Since then – silence. But the investigative journalist Jason Schreier brought new details about the developer himself and GTA 6 to light in the last week of July.
The release of GTA 6 will probably take a few more years, says Schreier. The New York developer is said to be planning to release the game in the 2024 sales year. However, it is questionable whether this schedule can be met. Accordingly, a release in 2024 or 2025 seems most likely so far. In addition, a female main character should appear in GTA 6 for the first time. The setting of GTA 6 is supposed to play in Miami, aka Vice City. At least that’s what Jason Schreier’s report says. But now another insider turns on with new details about the GTA 6 map.
GTA 6: Insider promises a Caribbean setting for the next title – but there’s a catch
Caribbean setting? As the alleged insider Matheusvictorbr_ announced on Twitter on July 30, 2022, the Caribbean should also be playable in GTA 6. However, the tropical islands should not be included in the open world. It is therefore possible that players are only allowed to travel to the Caribbean during a mission. Matheusvictorbr also commented on the size of the GTA 6 map. According to the insider, this should be similar in size to the Red Dead Redemption 2 map.
Jason Schreier also wrote in his article that the GTA 6 map will not be much larger than the GTA 5 map. But fans don’t have to be afraid of a boring and too small map. Because in GTA 6 a lot more buildings should be accessible and there should be more to discover. In addition, the developers from New York want to expand the game with several updates.
