Scorn has a playtime of 6 to 8 hours, the developers say

In development for many years, Ebb Software’s Scorn is finally scheduled for release this year.

But how long will Scorn keep you busy? It is not huge, as the developers have now announced.

A relatively short pleasure

Ultimately, of course, Scorn’s playing time depends on how much time individual players need to solve the puzzles.

However, Ebb Software estimates that it takes an average of six to eight hours to complete Scorn.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the title should definitely not be viewed as a triple-A game: “Not at all, it’s an independent production and a passion project!” It says Steam. “Even though we started with just four people and a very small budget, we’ve grown into a project that could be called AA.”

In addition, CEO and Creative Director Ljubomir Peklar gave an update on the current status.

“We’re in the final stages of developing the game, which also means we’re submitting it to our platform partners to ensure everything is running smoothly on all platforms ahead of release,” he writes. “The team is also focused on fleshing out the finer points of the game, including some scenes and scripted moments. We’ll be sharing more exciting content with you after gamescom and ahead of release.”

Scorn is scheduled to be released on October 21, 2022 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will be included in Xbox Game Pass at launch.
