WarCraft: Unannounced mobile MMO allegedly hired

Blizzard and Chinese gaming giant NetEase have reportedly dropped an unannounced Warcraft mobile MMO.

As Bloomberg reported, the title should become a mobile MMO set in the same universe as World of WarCraft.

Another time

According to the report, the project was codenamed Neptune and was planned as a sort of spin-off from World of WarCraft, set in a different time period.

The project is said to have been in development for around three years and more than 100 NetEase developers worked on it before it was discontinued.

This attitude obviously had no qualitative reasons, because according to Bloomberg there were disputes about the financial framework for the game.

If you want to play a WarCraft MMO, you still have a lot to do this year. On the one hand, World of WarCraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic is coming on September 26th, 2022 and sometime this year the new expansion Dragonflight will also be released.
