WoW: 3 million DpS? No problem at all for Rextroy
In the meantime, a whole department should be working at Blizzard, which does nothing else than create the exploits and bugs found by Rextroy from the game. But the more difficult it gets, the more motivated the famous WoW player seems to be. Even the nerf of his beloved toad couldn’t stop him from wiping out entire groups of Hordeans in Durotar or dishing out big one-shots against raid bosses.
In the meantime, he seems to have got used to his magician a bit and regularly demonstrates how powerful it can be to be able to steal various spells from opponents and creatures. This approach also forms the basis of his latest videos, in which he again kills a boss alone in the mausoleum of the first. Which alone is not entirely true. Although he fights alone in the fight, he has a great deal of help in the preparation.
5,000 percent buff make the game easy
Rextroy uses the fungus bloom, a spell that various mobs in Drustvar can cast. This buffs the mob and increases the damage dealt. In short, Rextroy uses Spellsteal with his Mage to get a ridiculous amount of these buffs, then portes right in front of Lihuvim to take him down with a few attacks. In practice, however, it is somewhat more complicated.
In order for Rextroy to get enough stacks, he needs various help such as time warp, soul of power and other effects that grant him haste. This is the magic time of the magic robbery so fast that he can steal many buffs before the first ones run out again.
Achieving the required amount of buffs was also difficult. Thanks to a crowd control effect on the fungus blooms the group could ensure that all mobs buffed themselves at the same time, making it possible to steal so many buffs in one go.
Escaping the fight quickly before the stacks run out was also tricky. With mass invisibility that was only possible as long as Rextroy was not involved in direct PvP with other players. As a result, it was not possible to steal other damage-increasing effects from players. Otherwise significantly higher DpS numbers would be possible.
As always, Rextroy waited a few days to release the video to allow Blizzard developers to prevent the exploit before making it public. That is immensely important. Because “bugs” like these could have a huge impact on the game if they were used for purposes other than just finding exploits for fun.
