Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened – trailer and release date for the remake revealed
The point-and-click adventure appeared 15 years ago Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. This was announced a few days ago Ukrainian developer studio Frogwares a remake of the detective game released in 2007 states that 2023 to come onto the market.

The whole Graphics including assets should be completely redrawn will. Also come new animations added, as well revised cutscenes. The basis for this is the Unreal Engine EpicGames.
Also new gameplay elemente and additional side quests should be part of the remake. In addition, the story is heavily revised, making the Relationship between young Sherlock Holmes and Dr. watson should be presented better.
Furthermore, the user interface changed and the Soundtrack completely revised will. The game is then played in the Third person view.
Crowdfunding because of the war
Due to the current situation in Ukraine, Frogwares has decided to use the crowdfunding platform for financing kickstarters decided. Head of Communications Sergey Oganesyan explained:
“Under normal circumstances, we would fund our next game ourselves through sales of our previous titles. But this war keeps presenting us with new challenges […] It takes time, effort and in some cases money that would normally go into making a game.”
Currently, almost €20,000 more has been achieved than would have been necessary. If the financing continues to be so promising, there should not be much standing in the way of a 2023 release.
The remake of “Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened” should appear for both the new and the old generation of consoles.
