WoW: After bad criticism, Blizzard gives the legendary Hogger a horribly good model

The most famous gnoll in World of Warcraft has been significantly improved. After much criticism, Blizzard has now given him a new, terrible model.

While some WoW fans just shrugged their shoulders in silence, for others it was a cardinal sin. The legendary Gnoll Hogger got a new model in WoW and suddenly didn’t look so threatening anymore for many players. In the eyes of many Alliance players, he became a joke and no longer the dreaded gnoll from Elwynn Forest that used to kill new heroes by the dozen. Now Blizzard has made significant improvements in the Dragonflight alpha.

What was the problem? Many WoW heroes have great memories with Hogger. It was the first elite quest members of the Alliance had ever seen. And like so many others, they attempted this quest single-handedly back in vanilla, only to die within seconds.

Hogger is the leader of the gnolls, a scourge of the people of Elwynn and one of the most well-known “little” villains of World of Warcraft.

His new model didn’t suit him at all. The menacing gnoll became a bright, almost goofy pooch – at least in the eyes of fans.

What did Blizzard do now? The developers have apparently taken this criticism to heart in the forums and on Reddit and corrected it in the latest version of the Dragonflight Alpha. Hogger has been given a unique skin with special clothing that makes him appear much more menacing. His fur color has been darkened once more, he now wears sinister clothing and generally appears more menacing. The staff of MMO Champion showed off his new model here:
