Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened announced

With “Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened”, the Ukrainian game developer Frogwares has announced a complete remake of their 2006-released point-and-click adventure (German title at the time: “The Trace of the Awakened”) about the famous master detective. The developer promises a “major overhaul built from the ground up for Unreal Engine 4.”

“Sherlock meets Lovecraft” is the motto of the detective horror adventure, detective Holmes and his colleague Dr. Watson finds a mysterious Cthulhu sect that threatens to take over the world and destroy humanity while searching for a missing person. Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is due out in 2023 for PC and consoles. Developer Frogwares, who is currently facing major challenges in his home country due to the Russian war of aggression, is asking for financial support via Kickstarter. The donation goal of 70,000 euros has already been exceeded, the crowdfunding campaign will run until the beginning of September,
