Bosses report development status of GTA 6 – fans hope that the hype will last as long
Gaming publisher Take-Two also spoke about GTA 6 in a new report to its investors. There was a tight water level message on the development and what to expect from the game.
First of all, publisher Take-Two and developer Rockstar Games have not revealed any details about the release date of GTA6. In the latest investor report, however, the new action game was briefly discussed:
The development of the next title in the “Grand Theft Auto” series is well under way. The teams at Rockstar Games are determined to once again set the creative standard – for the series, our industry and the entertainment industry as a whole, just as they have done with each of their major releases.
So those responsible reveal little about the new GTA and the reactions of the fans are also different.
There are many sayings on reddit about when the release will finally take place. “MrTrubiscuit” means “sometime between 2023 and 2050, got it” (via reddit.com). User “harooh” replies “sometime from 2023 to never”.
On Twitter, “@AidenRamburger” says, “I just hope the hype will last that long,” as there are still no details on a release timeline (via twitter.com).
And indeed, the hype can be felt in some comments. User “Oriond34” writes on reddit: “So basically they say it exists and it’s getting freaking wild!” (via reddit.com).
The investor report also revealed a little about the current status of the two rock star hits GTA 5 / Online and Red Dead Redemption.
GTA 5 has reached a new sales milestone and sold 170 million units. Red Dead Redemption 2 is also at a very strong 45 million units.
In addition, GTA Online continues to be strong and there have been 49% more players since the start of the corona pandemic in the first quarter of 2020. GTA + and the versions for the new consoles also write good numbers.
