Pac-Man Eats His Way Into Movies Soon – Coming As A Live-Action Movie

How many film and series adaptations of video games are now in the works? I’ve already lost count.

But here comes another new adaptation, this time a live-action movie starring Bandai Namco’s Pac-Man.

Again Hollywood reporters reports, Bandai Namco is teaming up with Wayfarer Studios (Clouds on Disney+).

Many details are currently not available, but the film is said to be based on a new idea by Chuck Williams, who is producing the film together with Tim Kwok (Lightbeam Entertainment).

Williams previously produced the first Sonic film, and similar to that, the Pac-Man film features a mix of live action and CGI.

What that idea looks like for Pac-Man is unclear. Maybe Pac-Man falls as a giant Kaijū across the world, sort of like Pac-Man meets Pacific Rim. But probably not. We’ll find out soon enough.
