These are the new games and departures for PS Plus Extra/Premium in August 2022.
As every month, Sony’s new PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription models will be growing again in August, but there will also be a few departures. We have summarized which games are already known for you here.
A notice: Since Sony has only pre-announced some of the new titles so far, we’ll update this article as soon as the rest of the games are known.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon

Yakuza: Like a Dragon features angry lobsters, tigers & doves in the release trailer
That’s what it’s about: Yakuza fans probably don’t need any further incentive to play the first four games of the August lineup. However, if you’re new to the series or haven’t found access to the games yet, Yakuza: Like A Dragon is a good place to start. Unlike in the other parts of the wacky series, we get a new main character with Ichiban Kazuga, explore a new city with Yokohama and fight turn-based battles that are reminiscent of classic JRPGs.
At the beginning of the game, Ichiban is released from prison after 18 years after being a low-ranking yakuza member taking the blame for a murder he didn’t commit. Freshly released, however, he has to realize that he is not being celebrated as a hero, but rather that he has been forgotten by his yakuza family.
