Overwatch: Blizzard stops selling loot boxes
Six years after the launch of over watch will developer Blizzard at the end of the month Sale of loot boxes officially discontinue. The makers have that blog casually announced. Previously, players could buy any amount of loot boxes for real money in the in-game shop to unlock skins, emotes and other things for the numerous characters of the team shooter. It will be from that August 30, 2022 no longer be possible.
Loot boxes will remain in the game
However, the boxes will not disappear completely from Overwatch. After all, there must still be a way for you to get the content without real money. So you will receive one as normal even after the end of the sale Loot box per level up. Overwatch Anniversary Remix Vol. 3 has launched
Through August 30, players have one last chance to collect select content for their favorite heroes that they sadly missed out on at one of Overwatch’s past events. Of course there is also the anniversary remix again some exclusive outfits for characters like D.Va, Genji or Tracer. Seasonal event brawls will also return on certain dates. Overwatch 2 comes without loot boxes
The Blizzard team is preparing for the launch of PvP Overwatch 2 before. The game will be available from October 4, 2022 – and into Free-2-Play format switch. Instead of loot boxes, there will then be seasons with Battle Pass content and individual skins for sale. Your unopened loot boxes from part 1 will be opened automatically right before the start of the sequel.
