Overwatch: Loot boxes no longer purchasable from August 30 – News

Over Six Years is Blizzard’s first-person shooter over watch (in the test, rating: 9.5) is now online and, as befits an online game that has been running for so long, there is of course all sorts of cosmetic stuff that can be bought for real money. Many players didn’t like that from the start and if you belong to this group, you can soon rejoice: From August 30, 2022 there will be no more loot boxes in Overwatch.

Blizzard announced this when announcing a new event. After Anniversary Remix Vol. 3 you can no longer buy crates, but there should still be drops after matches or leveling up. All boxes that are in your inventory will be prior to the release of Overwatch 2 opened automatically. And of course there are special Loot Boxes that you can purchase and earn during the new event, which is running now.
