WoW: In Dragonflight you can change your talents anywhere without a tome
Inscribers have to choose a different business model in WoW: Dragonflight, because their tomes for changing talents will no longer be needed in the upcoming expansion. In Dragonflight, you can change your talents anywhere without having to enter a rest area like an inn. There is only one exception.
With WoW: Dragonflight belong the “re-skill books” like Tome of the Balanced Mind of the past. Not only because it goes into the new expansion, but because the function of the inscription books will no longer be needed from then on. In addition to changing your specialization anywhere* in Dragonflight, you are also free to redistribute your talent points without using a tome or staying in a rest area.
There is of course one exception: * Mythic Plus dungeons already running. Here you can’t adjust your talents in the middle of the run so that your skills are designed for the next mob group, for example, or you skim off the interrupt ability because you don’t need it for a boss.
Restrictions on changing talents in WoW Dragonflight
In addition to the restriction on changing talents in Mythic Plus dungeons, there are a few other rules. Changing the specialization takes a few seconds as usual. Activating the so-called “loadouts” also takes about five seconds so that players don’t switch back and forth between specs too quickly.
Loadouts are pre-made talent builds that you can save like transmog sets. This feature is also sorely needed, because in Dragonflight you no longer only have to set seven, but dozens of talent points. Thanks to the saved talent distribution, you can directly create builds for PvP, Mythic Plus and single target battles in raids.
