WoW | Wrath of the Lich King Classic is coming – that’s changing!

What about the Scourge invasion?

Not yet active on the PTR is WotLK’s pre-launch event, which gives our heroes the ultimate reason to lead the Horde and Alliance armies to Northrend. The world event acts like a pimped version of the Scourge invasion from patch 1.11which led us to Naxxramas at the time.

  • First, strange boxes appear in Booty Bay, through which a dangerous plague spreads to the outer regions. Later, containers with contaminated cockroaches that were transported further ensure that the cities are no longer safe either.
  • Players who become infested will turn into zombies over time, with new abilities that allow the plague to spread further.
  • Argent Healers can heal the infection before you transform, but these become less and less available as the event progresses.
