The Core i9-13900K flexes its muscles in a leaked benchmark from Ashes of the Singularity and clearly outclasses not only AMD’s models, but also the 12900K. Unfortunately, it is not clear how much power the processor consumed or what clock rates it reached exactly. Read more about this below.

The launch of Intel’s new Raptor Lake processors is fast approaching and more and more benchmarks and information about the chips are being leaked. What they all seem to have in common is the once again higher power consumption compared to the Alder Lake chips, which also means higher performance at the same time. In the latest benchmarks from Benchleaks, the upcoming flagship in the form of the Core i9-13900K was tested against various other processors in Ashes of the Singularity.

It’s an older title, but since it’s one of the first games to use the DX 12’s Async Compute feature, it has good multi-core scaling. The test sample is said to be a retail model of the 13900K, which has eight P-Cores and 16 E-Cores. The base clock should be 3 GHz, while the boost clock for one or two cores ends up at 5.8 GHz and an all-core boost of up to 5.5 GHz should be achieved.


The processor offers a total of 68 MiB cache and a power rating of up to 250 watts. In the actual benchmark in 4K with “Crazy Preset”, the 13900K achieves 204.7 frames per second and thus significantly more than the 165.3 frames per second for which the 12900K is good. A Ryzen 7 5800X3D is at 121.4 frames per second, while a Ryzen 9 5950X still achieves 143.5 frames per second. The Core i9-13900K is 68 or 43 percent faster than the AMD chips and also clearly beats its direct predecessor with a difference of 24 percent.
