Saints Row: Detailed gameplay trailer shows game world, characters and factions
The release of Saints Row is imminent, which is why the developers want to sweeten the fans’ final waiting time with a new gameplay trailer. The approximately six-minute video shows, among other things, the characters and the co-op mode, introduces the factions in more detail and gives a detailed look at the game world.
After the development studio Volition got off to a rather bad start with the first big trailer for the Saints Row reboot, the team is again beating the advertising drum a few weeks before the release of the crazy open-world game. The attempt to rekindle fans’ interest in the boss and the team from Saints in the city of Santo Ileso culminates in a six-minute video that presents various aspects of the title in more detail.
Santo Ileso: The ultimate gangster playground
A narrator with a Spanish accent guides us through the video and explains the premise of the game: In the middle of the desert city of Santo Ileso, it’s up to us to build our own criminal organization with the Saints. The members of our own gang stand by our side, but members of various factions still have a say in our plans.
In the trailer we get a closer look at the different factions and their goals. As Saints Row fans have come to expect from the franchise, one faction is crazier and crazier than the next. The members of our gang also get an appearance in the trailer, as does our headquarters. In addition, numerous gameplay scenes show what there is to do in the game and which vehicles we can use – trucks, motorcycles, helicopters, wingsuits, there are almost no limits to the imagination.
Overall, the trailer once again makes it very clear what Saints Row wants to be – and what isn’t. The trailer itself is over-the-top and self-deprecating, just as you’d expect from previous installments of the series.
