WoW: Dragonflight: Warlocks get important skills from their companions
In WoW: Dragonflight, the individual classes and ways of playing not only get new talent trees, but are also revised in places. For example, warlocks can look forward to an important ability that only one of their companions otherwise possessed.
Similar to the hunters, the warlocks in WoW are spoiled for choice as to which companion they want to take with them into battle. Although the selection is much smaller, the influence of the companion on the damage or play style is no less clear. So of course it’s impractical for warlocks to have their choices pretty much only on paper. Because some of the companions have such elementary important skills that you hardly want to do without them.
An example of this is the spell lock of devil hunter. In both PvP and Mythic Plus dungeons, disruption is so important that the witcher has no choice but to take the demonic hound with them. Of course, this is rather counterproductive when it comes to diversity or choices. And so the Blizzard developers have now intervened and changed that for WoW: Dragonflight.
Spelllock goes into the Warlocks talent tree
To give Warlocks more choices and not force them to use the same companions in specific content, the developers are simply moving the important Spell Lock ability from the Felhunter to the Warlocks talent tree.
There, all three ways of playing can now distribute their talent points so that they can always fall back on their own interruption. Thanks to the new loadouts of the talent system, you can also switch back and forth without any problems. If you have enough kicks in the group, you simply take a different build. But be careful: you are allowed in WoW (buy now ): Dragon Flight change talents without tomes and without a rest area. But not during an ongoing Mythic Plus dungeon.
