World Championship event is about to start – it’s really worth taking part

This year, Pokémon GO is making its debut at the Pokémon World Championships. A few highlights await fans at the big event.

San Francisco – “I want to be the very best, like no one before me was!” Everyone who calls themselves a Pokémon fan probably knows this intro text. Since time immemorial, the game has not only been about catching the cute pocket monsters, but also about being successful in battles. That’s why the Pokémon World Championships are held every year. In 2022, Pokémon GO will finally be represented and will celebrate with a big event.

Pokémon GO: World Championship event starts – the most important information at a glance

Then the event runs: The Pokémon GO World Championships event runs concurrently with the Pokémon World Championships. These begin on August 18 at 10 a.m. German time. While the official world championships will end on August 21st, the event in Pokémon GO will last until August 23rd. So fans have a few days to catch all the Pokémon, evolve them and dust off the great bonuses.

• End: Aug. 23, 8 p.m

But the World Championships event isn’t the last thing fans shouldn’t miss this month: all Pokémon GO events in August 2022.

There is this new Pokemon: To celebrate this special event, Pokémon GO will also introduce a new monster to the game. The developers from San Francisco have specially designed a new costume for Pikachu. Pokémon World Championships in August 2022 – Pokémon GO there for the first time

Follow Pokémon World Championships: The Pokémon World Championships will take place from August 18th to 21st.
