Call of Duty Warzone 2 is a true successor to CoD Warzone. The Battle Royale shooter is supposed to build on the success of its predecessor, but reset the whole thing to zero. A tidy, fresh sequel with all the trimmings should do the online multiplayer title good and fans are eagerly awaiting new information. Now there is a leak that may already tell us the exact release date.

CoD Warzone 2 is scheduled to come in November and shortly after Modern Warfare 2

That’s what it’s about: In line with the soft reboot of Modern Warfare from 2019, the free Battle Royale offshoot CoD Warzone came in 2020. Because the sequel CoD Modern Warfare 2 will be released this year, it makes a lot of sense to give the Warzone a real successor too. It is certain that the game will come, now we may already know the release date.

Leak may reveal date: According to an allegedly leaked internal document, Warzone 2’s launch date is November 16th.

  • Alleged date: November 16th

Matches the rest: That would be just after the release of Modern Warfare 2 (which is scheduled for October 28th) and would therefore be a great fit. The only official release information so far has been that Warzone 2 will be released after Modern Warfare 2, but later this year 2022.

How serious is that? It is very likely that Warzone 2 will appear sometime towards the end of the year and it could also be this exact date here. However, this supposed leak is just an image from Reddit (via: Charlie Intel), which could also be a fake. As long as there is no official announcement, you should consider the whole thing as speculation and treat it with the appropriate caution.

Luckily we don’t have to wait too long for clarity. A major Warzone event is set to take place in September, where more details about the Battle Royale sequel will finally be announced as part of a live stream.

Are you already marking the date in red on your calendar? Are you more looking forward to Modern Warfare 2 or more to Warzone 2?
