Cologne – It’s almost that time, Gamescom 2022 is just around the corner. After a two-year forced break for fans due to the corona pandemic, the world’s largest games fair will finally open its doors to gaming enthusiasts again next week. The spectacle is traditionally opened with the Opening Night Live (ONL) – moderated by Geoff Keighley. But when exactly does the ONL start? Here’s everything you need to know so you don’t miss the Gamescom 2022 opening event.

Gamescom 2022: Opening Night Live – When exactly does the opening event start?

These are the date and time for the ONL: The Opening Night Live will take place next Tuesday, August 23rd. The event is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. German time.

When is Gamescom 2022? The actual fair will be held from August 24th to 28th this year. Wednesday, August 24th, is reserved exclusively for the press and trade visitors, from August 25th the gates of Gamescom 2022 will also be open to private visitors.

This is so special about the Opening Night Live: In principle, the ONL is the opening event for Gamescom and already offers the first big highlights from the gaming industry. In short: Over the course of two hours, fans and media will see a bombastic firework display of fresh trailers and gameplay – sometimes including some world premieres.
