McDonald’s customers are selling Pokemon Happy Meal cards and eating for free Dexerto

Pokémon McDonald collaboration cards are flooding online marketplaces with prices high enough to buy another Happy Meal.

Fans have likely seen rare Pokemon trading cards at insanely high prices from massive decade-old collections.

Unfortunately for some collectors, not all Pokémon cards sell for these amounts, especially when those cards are new and readily available.

Now, some online vendors are finding out firsthand after reselling McDonald’s Pokémon cards for just enough to buy another Happy Meal.

Pokémon Match Battle card packs are included with McDonald’s Happy Meals for a limited time.

A quick search through online marketplaces like eBay will produce tons of results for the Pokemon Match Battle Trading Card Game.

However, fans will also note that sale prices are around $7, with most listings also including free shipping.

Coincidentally, McDonald’s Happy Meals in North America typically sell for $3.29, depending on the meal included.

This means that if collectors really wanted to, they could keep buying Happy Meals and resell the cards themselves or entire packs for a positive profit margin.

Most Pokemon McDonalds TCG packs only sell for around $5.

Although, that markup would be around $1 or so, although it is still a profit at the end of the day.

In fact, it seems that some sellers have taken this seriously, such as an eBay list claims to have sold over 220 packs already.

For those who haven’t opened any packs of their own, collectors currently value the most expensive card in the set, the Holographic Pikachu, at around $10-15.

The other foil cards apart from Pikachu sell for around $3-6, while all the other cards in the set only sell for $1-2.

While there’s a chance that the value of these cards will skyrocket for years to come long after this limited-time event ends, it seems some collectors are satisfied simply by selling their extra packs for more Happy Meals.
