Warzone: Season 5 – The beginning of the end is near
When does Season 5 start? Season 5 marks the end of Warzone before Modern Warfare 2 is released on October 28th. According to leaks, Warzone 2 will be released shortly afterwards. Accordingly, the new Season 5 should be the last Warzone season. The starting signal for this will be given on August 24th.
- Start of Season 5 – August 24, 2022, 6 p.m
The end of Caldera is near: In Season 5 of Warzone, “Peak” turns into an active volcano in the middle of the map. Also, according to Activision, some legendary villains are storming Caldera. So there’s a lot to suggest that Warzone Season 5 will end with a bang. At the start of the update there will definitely be a bang, because the volcano with a “geological event“ is initiated. Here you can see an overview of all the content of the Warzone Season 5 roadmap:
Warzone: Season 5 – New game mode and new event herald the end
New game mode in Warzone Season 5: Season 5 of Warzone brings a new limited game mode to the game. “Opderation: Last Call” starts directly with the launch of the update and brings a team play component with it. The game mode is inspired by search and destroy. Two teams drop over Caldera and must defuse or detonate bombs scattered around the island. Depending on which team wins, a different sequence is shown at the end of the game. Incidentally, in the new game mode of Warzone Season 5, burning lava chunks fly around the ears of the players.
New Event in Warzone Season 5: In addition to the new game mode, there will also be a brand new event in Season 5 of Warzone. This is called “Heroes vs. Villains” and affects the entire community. In Warzone Season 5 you choose a side and then have to collect hero or villain tokens in all game modes. You can find these when you eliminate opposing players or loot boxes.
With the collected tokens you get discounts on faction bundles at buying stations. Every time you buy such a bundle, you get a discount on any other item at Buy Stations. The team with the most points at the end of the event will get an exclusive weapon blueprint. During the event, all players will also have a chance to unlock some cosmetic items in challenges.
Warzone: Season 5 Roadmap Revealed – New Weapons Become Experimental
New Weapons in Warzone Season 5: What would a new season in Warzone be without new weapons for the arsenal? Season 5 also has new guns that players can use to let off steam in Battle Royale. What should please many fans: This time it is not about rifles from the Second World War, but about ultra-modern guns. The fans should be particularly happy because developers revealed that “Modern Warfare” weapons cannot be buffed in Warzone. These five weapons come in Warzone Season 5:
- EX1 (launch) – Energy rifle that is good for long distances. This weapon uses a battery instead of a magazine and can overheat. You never have to worry about ammo again. If the battery is overcharged, it has to cool down and you are defenseless.
- RA 255 (Launch) – SMG with high rate of fire and good handling. The submachine gun is great for close-range combat, but has high upward recoil.
- Valois Revolver (Launch Window) – Pistol and knife combo. This weapon lets you land one-hit melee attacks. To unlock him, you need to get 15 melee kills in multiplayer.
- BP50 (Mid Season) – Assault Rifle, about which not much is known yet
- Lienna 58 (Mid Season) – Assault Rifle, about which not much is known yet
Season 5 of Warzone brings new operators: Warzone Season 5 brings some of the Call of Duty universe’s most nefarious villains back as playable Operators. At the start of Season 5, Raul Menendez and Khaled Al-Asad will be introduced as operators (pictured above). Gabriel T. Rorke and He “Seraph” Zhen-Zhen join them later in Season 5 (pictured below). You can see the four here:
Season 5 of Warzone should bring a lot that makes the players happy. Although the release of Warzone 2 and the end of Warzone are not yet confirmed, there are some indications. It wouldn’t be surprising if the successor to the Battle Royale was announced via an event in Warzone Season 5 or Season 5 Reloaded.
