The German scene in League of Legends is booming in 2022. Now a Prime League second division game has reached around 70,000 simultaneous viewers on Twitch. Because the largest German Twitch streamer for League of Legends, NoWay4U, and his LoL team “NNO” met the crowd favorites from Eintracht Spandau, the Hand of Blood team, in a playoff match.

How come you retire so early in LoL? The fan account of “No Need Orga” (NNO) calls the team itself a “renter team”. Because NNO consists of some of the biggest German twitch streamers on LoL, some of whom are already over 30.

In LoL, the joke is that everyone over 25 is actually “retirement age” because hardly any pros in League of Legends play much longer than 25. This is the age at which many retire:

  • the reflexes fade
  • the strain of training the same way over and over again gets heavier over the years
  • the hungry youth presses on, which is often mechanically excellent
  • Also, South Korean professionals have mandatory military service and can’t dodge it indefinitely unless your name is Faker

NoWay4u: How did he become the biggest German LoL streamer on Twitch?

So many watched: Almost 45,000 people watched via the official Prime League channel. Many also watched the match through Jona “JustJohnny” Schmitt’s channel. With him, Maxim, a legendary caster in LoL, was a guest.

Both channels together peaked at over 70,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch (via reddit).

The two had so much fun they even made it onto reddit with “champion impersonations”.

By the way, “JustJohnny” is the second largest German LoL streamer, statistically he was between NoWay4USir and his teammate Tolkin in the last few days.

Grand Finale on August 23rd

What’s next? In the final of Division 2 of the Primee League, NNO takes on Hertha BSC. The match will take place on August 23rd.

Streamer LPGJustJohnny has already announced that he will be bringing Maxim and HandofBlood with him.

This could be quite the spectacle.

A driving force in the Prime League boom: he founded his own team.

Toxic fans are also a problem in German LoL

Is there also a bittersweet drop? Almost two weeks ago, Caster Johnny made an appeal to the fans: German viewers should be less toxic in the Twitch chat and not immediately type out every hateful thought into the world.

This seems to be a problem that LoL doesn’t let go of no matter who is playing.
