Spotlight hours in August 2022 – Tuesday with Nidoran

On August 16, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour will take place again. This time trainers meet Wattzapf.

Update from 08/16/2022: It’s Tuesday again, and that means it’s Spotlight Hour again in Pokémon GO. This time the bug Pokémon Wattzapf appears and brings double catch candies as a bonus. So you can develop it even faster to Voltula. Unfortunately, Wattzapf is not yet available as a Shiny.

Update from 08/09/2022: Today, trainers meet Nidoran (female) from 6 to 7 p.m. In addition, there is double Catch EXP. Nidoran (female) can evolve into Nidorina and then into Nidoqueen. In addition, Nidoran (female) can also be caught as Shiny.

Update from 8/2/2022: Today marks the first Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour in August 2022. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., trainers will meet the new form of Voltobal: Hisui-Voltobal. This has only been caught once in the game so far. So players should take the chance today. Bonuses are double Catch Stardust. You can’t catch Hisui-Voltobal as Shiny yet.

First report from 27.7.2022: San Francisco—We’re looking forward to the Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours again in August. This time the trainers even expect five appointments instead of the regular four. On the corresponding days, one Pokémon is the focus of the game and thus gets its very own place on the stage – i.e. in the limelight. However, there are no big highlights in August, but one or the other bonus could be interesting for EP collectors. We’ll tell you which Pokémon await you and what bonuses they bring with them.

Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hours in August 2022 – All times at a glance

This is the limelight hour: Each week, a specific Pokemon will be the focus of the game. Players can therefore look forward to an increased appearance of the Pokémon in the wild every Tuesday between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. And that’s not enough, because each of the Pokémon also comes with a special bonus. If you have enough Poké Balls, you can easily catch 200 copies of the selected Pokémon during a spotlight hour, Shinys are also welcome.

These are the dates in August: In August 2022, the trainers in Pokémon GO can even look forward to five hours of spotlight. Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour on August 2nd featuring Hisui Voltobal at a Glance

This is the limelight hour: The first thing you can look forward to in August is Hisui Voltobal. The date fits the new Hisui event. This new Voltobal form also comes with a useful bonus. Because if you catch Pokémon during Spotlight Hour, you’ll get double the Catch Stardust.

Is the limelight hour worth it: Voltobal’s Hisui form was already introduced in Pokémon GO, so the spotlight hour is only partially worth it. However, the bonus could be helpful for you, because you can miss your Pokémon power-ups with stardust. This gives you a great advantage, especially in battles.

Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours on August 9th Featuring Nidoran (Female)

This is the limelight hour: On August 9th, you can look forward to Nidoran (Female) in the Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour. Here you even have the chance to catch a dazzling specimen. For each Pokémon caught, you will also receive double Catch EXP.

Is the limelight hour worth it: The Spotlight Hour is only worth it if you’re still looking for a dazzling example of Nidoran (female) or want to collect XP. Because for every Pokémon caught during the spotlight hour, you will receive additional XP. This might help you level up faster. If you are in a hurry, you can also use a lucky egg and thus get four times the amount of catch XP.

Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour on August 16th with Watt-Tap

This is the limelight hour: At this limelight hour, Wattzapf will increasingly cross your path. The Beetle Electric Pokémon also offers you double catch candies as a bonus.

Is the limelight hour worth it: This limelight hour in August is also not a highlight. Wattzapf is neither rare nor particularly strong in Pokémon GO and every trainer should already have his development level in his backpack. If not, you could use the double catch candies to evolve your Wattzapf in Voltula.

Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour on August 23 with Nidoran (Male)

This is the limelight hour: Previously, you’ve already seen Nidoran (female) in the spotlight, and on August 23 it’s Nidoran (male)’s turn as well. During the Spotlight Hour, sending Pokemon will earn you double XP. You also have the opportunity to discover a shiny copy here.

Is the limelight hour worth it: Spotlight Hour on August 23 is worth checking out for any Trainers still looking for a dazzling Nidoran (male). The bonus can also be used to farm candies. It is best to collect all the Pokémon by the deadline and then send them to the professor.

Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour on August 30th with Dusselgurr

This is the limelight hour: At the conclusion of August’s spotlight hours, you’ll be able to encounter an increased number of Flying Pokémon Dusselgurr in the wilds of Pokemon GO. You also have a chance to get double XP for evolving Pokémon that day.

Is the limelight hour worth it: Dusselgurr is also only worth the last spotlight hour in August if you still need a dazzling example of the Flying Pokémon. However, on this date you can again collect double the amount of XP if you evolve a Pokémon. To do this, save any Pokémon you can evolve and do so during Spotlight Hour on August 30th.
