Cult of the Lamb: New patch locked players in settings

Satanic-sweet optics and a cult mixture of construction management and roguelite dungeon crawler: Cult of the Lamb has wowed gamers and critics alike since its release. Even in our test, apart from a few little things, we couldn’t stop raving about the sect simulation.

The indie title from developer studio Massive Monster and Publisher is correspondingly successful Devolver Digital: More than a million times Cult of the Lamb was able to sell itself in its first week after the release. Despite this, the game suffers from an unfortunate Achilles’ heel: it is supported on all platforms by serious bugs plagued.

The technical condition of Cult of the Lamb

Players report from Framerate drops, quest issues, crashes and softlocks and we also had to subtract three points from the overall score for the PlayStation 5 version because the game hung twice in the first few minutes. Of course, Cult of the Lamb cannot be enjoyed with such problems.

developer Massive monsters is fortunately aware of the numerous errors and has already taken the initiative: On twitter thanked for the support and referred players to the possibilities for bug reporting. On Steam you can do this via the Tech Support Page of the game, there is one for the console versions Google form.

Cult of the Lamb PC patch needs to be withdrawn

Unfortunately, the efforts have not been crowned with success so far: The Steam patch 1.0.11 made the situation even worse and caused softlocks in the options: players were locked when adjusting the settings and could not continue playing without restarting the title. Massive Monster drew the only correct conclusion and removed the patch again, so that Cult of the Lamb is currently up again Version 1.0.10 runs.

As soon as the softlock problem has been addressed, patch 1.0.11 awaits you numerous bug fixes: No more invisible talismans, no more tarot cards denied by the spider, and general stability improvements. You can find the full patch notes here on Steamwhen the appropriate updates then comes back, but of course it’s in the stars at the moment.
