Haunted Chocolatier finally shows what the bee boss looks like and we have to think of Hollow Knight

If you like Stardew Valley and chocolate, you’ve come to the right place at Haunted Chocolatier.

Stardew Valley developer Eric Barone aka Concerned Ape is collaborating Haunted Chocolatier at his next game. From this we now see a new screenshot that firstly looks very promising and secondly also reminds us of another, extremely successful 2D game: Hollow Knight. It’s a bee boss. We also get the matching soundtrack.

Good news: After Eric Barone confirmed boss fights for Haunted Chocolatier a while ago and showed the “Bee Boss” song in the stream, there are finally supplies. A screenshot now shows what this bee boss looks like. You can now listen to the accompanying song very conveniently.

This brings back memories: Apparently in Haunted Chocolatier we are dealing with a bee boss who wants to get our hands on it. The fight against the villain appears to take place in a beehive, complete with honeycomb, wax and such. If you don’t automatically have to think of the corresponding region and its inhabitants in Hollow Knight, you probably haven’t played it (and should urgently change that).

As you should be able to tell, the track is one real bangers. With wind instruments and a rhythm that you simply have to follow. Previously only available as part of a PC Gamer stream, the song from Haunted Chocolatier is now available individually and conveniently on YouTube.

Along with the release of the screenshot, Eric Barone also answered a few questions about the development of Haunted Chocolatier. He explains, for example, that although he could now develop faster, he tends not to. In addition, Haunted Chocolatier will probably be more ambitious than Stardew Valley in terms of scope.
