The Last of Us (TV Series): First teaser for the HBO Original Series

After The Witcher and Fallout, The Last of US, which appeared on PS3 in 2013, can now join the video game adaptations. The streaming platform HBO published a first series teaser about Ellie, Joel and the events of the first part.

In addition to the The Last of US info bite from minute 1:40 minute, the US company also presents other projects such as The Idol, The White Lotus and Love and Death in their video, which will soon be included in the subscription.

A Mandalorian on a zombie hunt

In the almost 20-second TLoU teaser, we see not only the remains of a clicker, but also the protagonist Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, who gained notoriety through his role as the Mandalorian in the DisneyPlus series of the same name, and the young actress Bella Ramsey, known for Game of Thrones, who will take on the role of Joel’s foster daughter, Ellie. Also Joel’s actual child Sarah (Nico Parker) and loud IGN Bill (Nick Offerman) and possibly Frank (Murray Bartlett) can be seen for a few frames.

Although not much has been announced about the series, the pilot episode will be directed by Kantemir Balagov. Co-writers include Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. As already announced last year, apart from a few dialogues, you don’t want to stick 1:1 to the video game template. So for Executive Producer Druckmann – who was also involved in the development of the game – it’s more important to keep the storyline intact than to get bogged down in the details of references – you can read more about that in this post.

It is not yet known to what extent the aforementioned modifications to the original story will actually have an impact on the PS3. But it is clear that the zombie adventure about Joel, Ellie, Clicker & Co. should appear on HBO next year.
