Brutal new gameplay at Gamescom 2022 ONL

Striking Distance Studios shocked Opening Night Live. New gameplay left its mark on the opening of Gamescom 2022.

Cologne – Glen Schofield and Striking Distance Studio revealed new gameplay for The Callisto Protocol at Gamescom 2022. During Opening Night Live, the studio showed for the first time just how brutal Dead Space’s spiritual successor really is. They didn’t hold back with fight scenes and a lot of gore.

What does the trailer show? In the gameplay of The Callisto Protocol, Striking Distance Studios at Gamescom 2022 will primarily show the combat system and provide first insights into the opponents that fans will have to deal with. A lot of the game’s gameplay is actually very reminiscent of its spiritual predecessor Dead Space, on which Glen Schofield also played a major role. The main character should also be able to fight with his own kinesis ability, as Isaac Clarke already did.

Even with a lot of gore, The Callisto Protocol doesn’t hold back and shows a lot of blood and guts. Striking Distance Studios has not yet revealed more about the story of the game or its deeper setting. It’s not long until the release of The Callisto Protocol, the game is scheduled for release on December 2nd. Until then, fans can get another picture of the sci-fi nightmare at Gamescom 2022 and expect more information until then.
