Project Cars 1 and 2 will soon be discontinued

The sale of the two racing games Project Cars 1 and Project Cars 2 will be discontinued shortly.

The first two games in the series from developer Slightly Mad Studios will then no longer be available in the respective stores.

Expiring Licenses

“Due to expiring vehicle and track licenses, both Project Cars and Project Cars 2 will be withdrawn from sale in the coming months.”

Project Cars will no longer be available as of October 3, 2022, and Project Cars 2 will no longer be available as of September 21, 2022.

Will Project Cars 1 and 2 remain playable?

If you already own the two racing games or buy them digitally until then, you can still play them.

“Both games remain fully playable, and our players will continue to be able to enjoy all game features, including multiplayer,” the developers said.

Of course, you can still purchase and play the retail versions if you can find them for sale somewhere.

Project Cars originally appeared in 2015, part two followed in 2017. In 2020 Project Cars 3 was released.

“We remain focused on developing the best racing sims. As mentioned, we look forward to sharing more about Slightly Mad’s next project when the time comes.”
