The Lord of the Rings - Rings of Power: Dwarf City shows itself - but also the memes

from Claus Ludewig
Amazon has released a new trailer for the Lord of the Rings series. Among other things, this is about the dwarf city of Moria. The concoction is not well received by the fans.

From September 2nd, after several years of waiting, the Lord of the Rings series will be broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. In order to be able to see The Lord of the Rings – Rings of Power, either a subscription to Prime Video or a membership to Amazon Prime is required, which – currently – only costs 7.99 euros per month. About a week before the market launch, the makers have one released new trailer. This shows the dwarf kingdom of Moria and hobbits.

Diverse cast – politically correct but unwelcome by the fans

It seems that the elf sorceress Galadriel plays a big role. Amazon has made sure to fill the roles diversely, it should be politically correct. The community has already criticized the scenes shown in advance. The casting of the roles is met with criticism, as is the high-contrast lighting mood, at least in comparison to the Peter Jackson interpretation. The new trailer has already been disliked more than 20,000 times, while only 7,200 likes have been distributed. Of course, the memes are coming back too.

Since July 15 there has been a trailer that focuses on life on the island of Numenor. The trailer has now become an internet meme. Some viewers comment sarcastically: “When all hope was lost and Sauron finally said: It’s Sauring Time! That’s when I cried.” There are also far more than 61,000 dislikes.
