gamescom 2022: Video tour of the fair – games, indies, merch and stands!
gamescom 2022 is in full swing and will lure you into the exhibition halls with numerous stands from exhibitors from all over the world. There you will find, among other things, big publishers, small indies, a lot of merchandise and you can discover a lot. This includes things like the Pikachu Mini, a Pokémon car. No joke!
If you want to know what to expect on site – or if you don’t want to or can’t go to gamescom – we’ll take you on a short video tour of the exhibition center and through the halls. In three videos, Ana focuses on different aspects of gamescom 2022.
The indie area
The first video is about the indie area where literally tons of indie developers are waiting for you. You can not only play their current titles, but also chat with the makers.
You can also find indies in a separate area in Spain, on the edge of hall ten and occasionally in halls five to nine between larger publishers.
The biggest games and most beautiful stands
There are a lot of games represented at gamescom 2022, even though many companies have of course canceled. There is still a lot to discover, as Ana shows you in the second video.
For Ana, the nicest stand is THQ Nordic’s, as the areas here are nicely laid out and just the right size. Everything is implemented harmoniously and does not seem obtrusive. In short: THQ Nordic makes the fair look beautiful.
Merchandise and hardware
Of course, you need hardware to play and there will be more than enough of that at gamescom 2022, for example from Razer. And if you still want to spend a little money, the merchandise hall has a lot to offer you.
These two areas are the focus of the third video, in which Ana shows you more of the hardware and merchandise. With Square Enix or Blizzard, there are also companies whose games are not otherwise represented at the fair.
