Pixel Watch: This is how expensive it is compared to the Galaxy & Apple Watch

There is a high probability that Google will release its Pixel Watch later this year. A new leak now reveals the possible price for the LTE variant of the smartwatch. This is between that of the Galaxy Watch 5 and that of the Apple Watch Series 7.

As 9to5Google reported, a trusted source is said to have revealed the price of Google’s Pixel Watch. The smartwatch variant with LTE support should cost 399 US dollars in the USA. The price of the model, which only supports Bluetooth and WiFi, is not yet known. If the information is correct, Google plans to price its Pixel Watch between the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Apple Watch Series 7.

The Galaxy Watch 5 with LTE support starts at $329 in the US and the Apple Watch Series 7 with cellular connectivity starts at $499.

The competition for the Pixel Watch is strong

If the Pixel Watch actually appears at the said price, Google should have a hard time against the competition from Samsung and Apple. The Pixel Watch with LTE would be cheaper than Apple’s current smartwatch with LTE, but iPhone owners will stay in the Apple cosmos anyway. And if Apple fans can do without LTE, then they also pay $399 for the Watch Series 7 with only Bluetooth and WLAN.

The true competitor is the Galaxy Watch 5. Google would lose out here, at least in terms of price. Anyone who really wants a current smartwatch with LTE support will probably go for the Samsung model if price is the primary argument. The Pixel Watch would have to offer exclusive features to outperform Samsung.

The Pixel Watch is supposed to offer that

The Pixel Watch will probably have a round design with a curved glass. The smartwatch is said to be 40 millimeters wide and 14 millimeters thick. On the right is a crown that can be used to control the Pixel Watch. Samsung’s Exynos 9110 will probably be used as the processor. The RAM of the Google smartwatch is said to be 1.5 GB, the internal memory is said to be 32 GB. Both memory sizes are comparatively high in the smartwatch segment – an argument for the Pixel Watch?

The battery of the smart watch should have a capacity of 300 mAh. Other features of the Pixel Watch are integrated GPS, NFC, various sensors for health tracking and water resistance to a depth of 50 meters. Wear OS 3 will probably be used as the operating system.
