Bug in Destiny 2 is bad for ears and headsets: Golgoroth roars them broken

Be careful in the new old Kingsfall raid in Destiny 2, because the boss Golgoroth has a terrifying roar. A bug dramatically amplifies that loud noise, spooking players here and there.

Hold on to your ears

The bug is said to be triggered if you die while fighting Golgoroth. So if you like to play at full volume, you should turn down the control before the fight, otherwise the boss will not only finish you off, but also your ear canals. Unless, of course, you’re sure you won’t die against Golgoroth. With that you should be on the safe side.

The excitement is high on Reddit. Bungie already knows, but players are still sharing their deafening experience on the platform. As it turns out, the victims of the roar bug take it with humor.

One player describes it as an extremely loud fart played backwards, while another likens the overdriven roar to a jet engine. “I thought I died in real life (volume was set too low and automatically adjusted lmao)” wrote another.

More on Destiny 2:

With a little humor, another user wonders if Bungie will replace the headphones that were broken by this bug. In Reddit, some players admit that they threw away their headsets in shock. An expensive bug for some Guardians.

Bungie is already in the process of clipping Golgoroth’s vocal cords and writes: “We are aware of an issue where Golgoroth can sometimes roar extremely loudly in the Kingsfall Raid. It is recommended to reduce the audio output when you fight Golgoroth fights until a fix can be implemented.”
