Assassin’s Creed Mirage officially announced!
In the past we have received numerous leaks and rumors about the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. An Aztec setting was discussed, according to industry insider Jason Schreier, the title will be played in Baghdad, and a Japan setting was also thrown into the round. Even the title had many question marks. While most have assumed Assassin’s Creed Rift, there was another leak recently from French YouTuber j0nathan, who used the name Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Now it’s official: Assassin’s Creed Mirage announced
Just today, the Assassin’s Creed fan site The Codex Network shared artwork on twitter, which allegedly appeared in Ubisoft’s own store. According to the new pictures, the title is actually called Mirage and will probably revolve around the Assassin Basim, a character from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
All the rumors have probably become too much even for Ubisoft, because a few hours ago the company announced on Twitter that the next branch of the series will actually be called Assassin’s Creed Mirage. We should get more information about the title at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022 at 9 p.m.
With this announcement, j0nathan’s recent leak added some weight. For example, he explained that the title should be released in the spring of 2023 and will take place in Baghdad. The YouTuber also explained that Ubisoft is currently working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed 1, which is to be integrated into the Mirage Season Pass. A bulleted list of the leaks was kindly provided by j0nathan shared on Reddit. We will probably find out what applies to all of this at the latest at the Ubisoft Forward on September 10th.
