Destiny 2: Xur Today – Location and Offer on 09/02

Destiny 2 starts the weekend. But before you grab your bounties and get started, you should pay a visit to good old Xur. We followed him and revealed where he will end up and what he has to offer.

What happened in Destiny 2 this week? Bungie has hijacked the second week of Season 18 and sent you to the cosmodrome on a new section of the seasonal pirate quest.

Before that, the aftershocks of the raid race had to be digested. Because cheaters are no longer only in PvP, but are already cheating on you live in the PvE endgame.

Meanwhile, Bungie has swept a few bugs off the hard drives and stuffed a roaring ogre’s mouth. Elsewhere, an old NPC has reverted to his nasty dealer role and rewards you with a guilty conscience with probably the worst armor beyond Saturn.

Meanwhile, Bungie’s boss, Joe “The Mustache” Blackburn, used the time to reveal some new details about the upcoming Lightfall DLC in an interview that you might find interesting:

When is Xur coming? The exotic trader is a creature of habit and therefore visits Destiny 2 every Friday at 7 p.m. Anyone with gaps in their Exo collection will then be waiting for it, as it’s the quickest way to call it all your own. And that even at decent material prices.

Where is Xur located? This is his camp for the weekend

The position of Xur: Unfortunately, he cannot be convinced that we will find out his location sooner. So you have to be patient until 7 p.m. After that, this article will be updated.

Xur’s inventory from 02.09. – 06.09. – All exotics at a glance

What does Xur offer? As the chosen exotic merchant of the “Nine”, an ominous group in Destiny 2, Xur ships new weapons and armor to players on their behalf on a weekly basis. All characters, i.e. warlocks, hunters and titans can buy from him. Whether you are new to the game or an experienced Guardian.

This is his offer for you this week:

  • As soon as Xur arrives in the solar system, we will add his top sellers here.

Xur also sells Legendary items and each week offers unique rolls for exotics from past DLC exotic missions that are no longer available.

He currently has these two weapons on offer:

  • The Hawkmoon Exotic Hand Cannon
  • The Exotic Scout Rifle “Tale of a Dead Man”

The weapons cost: These two Exotics cost 1 Ascendant Fragment, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Fragments respectively.

Xur always has this with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to get an Exotic Code.

Breakout starts next week in Iron Banner

With Trials still on hold for a while until September 16th, PvP fans should look forward to Iron Banner. Launching next week, it will bring the new Outbreak mode to Lord Saladin.

Play Breakout mode in Iron Banner starting September 6th.

What is Breakout and how does it work? It’s a modified version of the original Conflict Team Deathmatch mode, but Bungie has given it a new “BOOMSHAKALAKA!” Just like in “Conflict”, you also get points for your kills in “Breakout”.

In Destiny 2, however, this new mechanic also pushes your space skills properly. Kills give you and your team ability energy. This increases if you manage to eliminate a number of enemies without dying. Assists also count.

  • The first kill grants you only a small amount of ability energy.
  • Your second kill without dying grants you the Recharge buff. You begin to glow. From now on, every kill is worth 3 points and you also get +10% super energy and +20% grenade, melee and class ability energy.
  • If you make your fifth kill without dying, you buff yourself as “Ready”. Now your Guardian will be as bright as day, your position will be marked for your team and the hunt is on.
  • Ready kills now grant +12% Super and +5% Grenade, Melee, and Class Energy. In addition, the team benefits because they get +5% Super and +10% grenade, melee and class energy.

So next week we will see how “Eruption” in Iron Banner is received by the Guardians and whether it performs better than “Rift”.

How about you? Are you still visiting Xur? Or is your collection already complete? And will you explore the Iron Banner? Or have you already decided that this mode is not for you. Write it to us in the comments.
