For a while there were no new PS5 consoles at Euronics. But that has finally changed recently.

Update from 09/02/2022, 11:44 a.m.: Euronics diligently sold the PS5 in August. In September, however, it is still quiet as far as fresh PS5 supplies are concerned. But there could be something going on with other retailers. Update from 08/18/2022, 07:56: After yesterday’s big drop, calm has returned to Euronics. And if you look at the retailer’s drop behavior in the recent past, it may well be that it will stay that way for the time being. Because Euronics recently only dropped every few months, although the general supply situation is increasingly easing and other providers were selling the console several times a month during this time. In short: We assume that at Euronics something could start again in September at the earliest – but probably even later.

Update from 08/17/2022, 11:58 am: At Euronics, the sale of the PS5 was already over in the meantime, but the queues were apparently activated again. The conditions remain the same: There is only the PS5 bundle with Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7, purchase is only possible by picking it up at the nearest branch.

First report from 08/16/2022: Hamburg – The medium-sized retailer Euronics was once a relevant port of call for PS5 hunters. In the last few months, however, it has been very quiet here as far as fresh console supplies from Sony are concerned. Since April there has been a lull around the PlayStation 5. Will August, which has just begun, finally bring salvation? We take a look at the situation.

Buy PS5 from Euronics: Dealers overdue for months – replenishment in August?

When was the last time you could buy the Sony PS5 from Euronics? It’s been a long time since the last drop. The console was last offered here on April 27th. In the run-up to the action, however, there was plenty of chaos. A few days before that, a sale that had obviously already been planned was called off at the last second – much to the annoyance of numerous interested parties who were interested in buying. On April 27th the sale did take place after all.

You should be careful here: Euronics issued a warning in the spring, which is still valid. Buyers should beware of fake shops that claim to offer immediately available PS5 consoles under the Euronics name but have nothing to do with Euronics. Most recently it was the site www.euronics-ps5.de, which was easily exposed because, as Euronics, it ONLY offered PS5 consoles and no other electronic items.

In case of doubt, the following applies: If you come across a Euronics site that has large quantities of the PS5 in stock, delivers immediately and only offers prepayment/bank transfer as a payment method, you should be suspicious. If you don’t read anything about a Euronics drop on social media, relevant forums or here on ingame.de, then you should definitely keep your hands off it. Otherwise there is a great danger that you will not see your money again in the end, nor will you hold the longed-for console in your hands.

What is the current status of PS5 supplies at Euronics? Since the drop at the end of April, nothing has changed at Euronics in terms of PS5 supplies. To date, the console has not been available there “naked” or as a bundle – even though Sony has been donating for four months now and the general supply situation has eased significantly. Currently there are no indications of an upcoming drop.

BUT: in the PS5 hunter scene, Euronics are now given good drop chances in August. Because lately there have been so many drops – even with smaller retailers – that Euronics will have to follow suit at some point if you want to remain relevant as a PS5 provider at least to some extent. In short: For the fourth month in a row, Sony is literally throwing fresh consoles around and is diligently pushing in more PlayStation 5s. Euronics should now slowly be considered by Sony with new consoles.
