iPhone 14 Pro could bring old battery indicator
Apple could reintroduce the well-known, clear battery indicator with the new iPhone 14. The new iPhone should have enough space on the display for this and the alternative tested in the beta doesn’t seem to be able to convince. Smartphones have become important companions of everyday life and essential for many people. It is important that the mobile companion is properly charged so that you can use it. Apple would therefore supposedly bring back a classic function on the iPhone 14 that would make life much easier for users. Apparently, the classic battery indicator with the battery icon and a percentage next to it should move back into the iPhone 14 Pro. This would protect users from the partly illegible and correspondingly unpopular new icon from the iOS 16 beta, which has the percentage in the icon.

In Apple’s current normal version of iOS, the indicator is battery-shaped and shows the charge level without a percentage. If you want to know this exactly, you have to swipe down and look in the Control Center, which is impractical. This icon was first introduced on the iPhone X and was then due to the small space next to the notch, which is to be replaced by two individual cutouts on the iPhone 14 Pro, which would provide enough space for a proper display.
The current rumors also state that when the phone is locked, the cellular connection logos could be moved to the left side of the screen, while the notifications and the battery indicator are to be placed on the right. The always-on display, used for the first time by Apple, should be fully configurable and display widgets on a background of the user’s choice. To avoid burn-in on the OLED, the widgets should appear and disappear slowly. According to the current status, notifications should be displayed at the bottom of the screen for ten seconds before disappearing.
