According to the leak, Silent Hill 2 remake is said to be a time-exclusive for PS5

Silent Hill 2 is rumored to be getting a remake.

Silent Hill 2 is one of the most popular horror titles out there. So it’s not particularly surprising that there are persistent rumors about a remake. Exactly from such a remake some first, but unfortunately only badly recognizable pictures could have leaked. Several sources seem to confirm that it is real and there may already be first details about an alleged time exclusivity.

Silent Hill 2: Alleged leak shows several images

That’s what it’s about: New images are circulating online that are said to be a leak from the recently hotly debated Silent Hill 2 remake. There is good news and bad news about this.

The good news: Apparently these pictures are actually real and a remake of Silent Hill 2 is really coming. This is at least confirmed by other leakers such as DuskGolem and VGC also relies on its own sources that confirm the authenticity of the images.

The bad news: The pictures don’t look very good. On the contrary: Hardly anything can be seen in the pictures because the resolution is so poor. We can roughly make out some of the surroundings, but that’s pretty much it.

After all: According to the previously fairly well-informed leaker DuskGolem (who, for example, was correct several times with regard to Resident Evil 8), this leak should be real pictures, but they in no way reflect the current development status of the remake. The pictures would not come a rudimentary approach to the finished product. Three new Silent Hills? According to various leaks, rumors and reports, not only one or two new Silent Hill games are in the works, but three. One of them could actually very well be the Silent Hill 2 remake.

PS5 time exclusivity? VGC even wants to know more about the type of release. According to the magazine’s sources, the title will initially only appear for PlayStation consoles such as the PS5. At the same time, a launch on the PC should also take place, but other consoles such as the Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X will have to wait a little longer.
