AirPods Pro 2 are set to be unveiled at Apple’s event on Wednesday

If you’re waiting for the AirPods Pro 2, you probably won’t have to wait much longer. Apple is said to be presenting the new generation of its wireless in-ear headphones as part of the iPhone 14 event on September 7th.

Apple invites you to the Steve Job Theater on Wednesday to present the iPhone 14 and the Apple Watch Series 8. Somewhat surprisingly, the information comes that the AirPods Pro 2 will also premiere at the September event. That’s what Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman claims in the current issue of his Power-On Newsletters. “Last year I reported that the new AirPods Pro will be released in 2022, and now I have learned that their unveiling will take place on Wednesday,” writes the Apple expert.

AirPods Pro 2: This is new

The second generation of Apple’s top in-ear model is said to bring some new features, including a new H2 chip for better audio quality, a larger battery for longer runtime, a new charging case with where-is? support, better wearer detection, fitness tracking features and more. Together with a new audio codec, this should improve the sound quality for calls, but also allow playing songs with a higher bit rate.

No new design for the in-ears

Two years ago it was reported that Apple was testing a new design for the AirPods Pro. The company is reportedly trying its hand at more compact headphones without the typical AirPods stem. However, that is off the table again. The AirPods Pro 2 are unlikely to feature any major design changes. Whether that’s true will probably already be seen on Wednesday.
