Lost Ark brings a surprisingly big update today – changes balancing and fixes over 80 bugs

This week is the first part of the September update in Lost Ark. Coming in two parts this month, bringing numerous UI, balancing, and Stronghold changes today. The update also fixes over 80 game bugs and prepares a feature that fans have been asking for for a long time.

What’s in the update? The major monthly update in Lost Ark is split into two in September. While the new raid, the new class and more content should come into play in the second half, the first part focuses on improvements to existing features.

This first part comes in today’s update and changes many small things, among which some highlights are hidden. In addition, changes in the backend are being prepared to make the first server mergers possible.

This is a feature that players in the EU West region in particular wanted, as fewer and fewer people were playing there and finding group members was sometimes a problem.

Apart from that, you can expect changes in the options, new chat options, changes to your own island and over 80 fixed bugs today.

The highlights:

• More setting options in the user interface. This also includes the fact that you can now set the size of the buffs and their priority and order.
• A new icon shows at a glance whether an activity rewards gold or not.
• The ability to search in chat is also new.
• You can now add friends from other servers to the friends list as long as they play on the same region.
• The trader of the companion ranch has new items, you can now get more for your cookies there.
• Stronghold quests are now orange instead of blue to better distinguish them.
• You can now invite other players directly to your Stronghold.
• The training room in the Trixion has undergone numerous improvements.
• Your guild now also has some new features, especially in the chat area.
• Controller support has been significantly improved.
• It’s now easier to fill up the Adventure Tome in Rohendel, Yorn, and Feiton.
• 2 new hairstyles for all base classes.
• Extensive balance changes that primarily affect PvP.
• 84 fixed bugs, some of which have been up to mischief for a long time.

The arcanist is currently the newest class in the game, but has to give up this title to the machinist in September.

Lost Ark will be offline for 4 hours today, September 7th

How long is the server status offline? As you are used to, the servers will go offline today at 9:00 a.m. German time and will remain down for an estimated 4 hours for the weekly update.

So you should be able to log back in at 1 p.m. and enjoy the new features. We will of course keep you updated on when the servers are back in this article and update it accordingly.

Since there are still a few invisible changes in the backend that are creeping in alongside the numerous changes, you should also expect a major update on Steam. We can’t estimate exactly how big it will be at the moment.
