Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 appears to be bringing back a weapon that many hated

It looks like the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will bring back a weapon that many fans hate.

At least said weapon can be seen briefly in a new gameplay teaser of the Infinity Ward and Activision shooter.

Well protected

This weapon is the Riot Shield. A dream for campers who want to crouch in a corner, unpack the sign and wait for worthwhile destinations.

That doesn’t mean people with shields are invincible, of course, but it can be a rather annoying weapon in the hands of skilled players. Or a very effective one, if you look at it from the other side.

More Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 news:

As I said, the Riot Shield can be seen in a short, new teaser for the campaign. Here is the scene in question:

The Riot Shield in the new teaser.

We see more than one soldier hiding behind a sign and moving towards a house.

You can also be pretty sure that the Riot Shield will also be involved in multiplayer. But even the shield doesn’t help much against a well-placed rocket, grenade or explosive charge. So be prepared to deal with it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, 2022 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A multiplayer beta will start later this month.
