An actress makes three films over a period of 30 years, each of which attracts a great deal of media attention beforehand – and none of them appear. How so? And why is she just as young in the third film as in the first two? And who is she anyway, and what has become of her? What did I just see when I rewound the recording of a rehearsal session? What is the plot of the three films? How are these related? Is the body double the actress or vice versa, or is it the same person? And why do I see bare breasts so often? These are the questions one asks oneself – the last one perhaps only me – when dealing with immortalitywhile digging through hundreds of recordings that include both script rehearsals, rehearsals and ‘actual’ minutes of film, along with a few footage of TV performances or parties.
But before I get to the basic question from the critics (“brilliant, average or crap?”) – which, by the way, is answered by the majority of international magazines with “brilliant”, but also by a few brave individual opinions with “crap” – let me briefly classify it where Immortality actually comes from.
