The Rings of Power – Where (or who) is Sauron?
Bei started last Friday Amazon Prime Video the Lord of the Rings Series The Rings of Power. Since then, theories about previous events and especially about individual characters have been circulating online.
The focus is particularly The stranger who fell to earth in a meteor and villain Sauron. Now particularly attentive and clever fans want it valid clues on the whereabouts of Sauron have found.
Who and where is Sauron?
After the first two episodes, many fans are already wondering where the nasty villain is. The only thing that is clear so far is that Sauron is hiding somewhere. Or maybe not? in the prolog is Sauron, or rather his outline, already seen briefly.
Some still stubbornly hold on to the theory that mysterious Meteor Man could be Sauron. Still others – and this seems to prevail at the moment – think the villain is playing wolf in sheep’s clothing and can be seen recently as a half border.
But is that possible? Galadrielwho is obsessed with finding her brother’s killer, sat the entire second episode with semi-rim together on a raft Celebration. Especially she as an elf would feel when the ultimate evil right next to her stop, right?
A hidden clue in the soundtrack of The Rings of Power
Now there are people who love puzzles and just look everywhere for clues. So some fans noticed that musical theme by Halbrand (from minute 46:00 in the video) definitely Resemblance to that of Sauron (from 21:24) – especially if you do the latter plays backwards.
The well-known film composer Bear McCreary (including “Battlestar Galactica”, “The Walking Dead”) is responsible for the soundtrack. Therefore, many users on Reddit hold this match not for a coincidence, but rather for a hidden clue.
There is another hint to the semi-rim theory: That symbol on the trailerwearing Halbrand around his neck, resembles that of Sauron.
Then there would be young Theothe one broken sword with the same symbol finds. Is Halbrand or even Sauron himself maybe Theo’s missing father? Anyway, the boy seems kind of a Connection to Sauron to have.
The Rings of Power: The Rise of Sauron
Another theory is that Sauron is holding out hidden under Mount Doom. As director Charlotte Brändström already hinted, towards the end of the first season something should happen that the Completely change the landscape of Middle-earth becomes.
Many now assume that this is the Eruption of Mount Doom acts. Although that would be chronologically too earlya tightening of events would make for further action of the series however make sense.
So Season 1 would end with that Sauron awakened and freed by his subordinates (perhaps Theo?). becomes evident by the eruption of Mount Doom. Thus, the villain would be back and would herald his rise and attack on Gondor.
