WoW: More massive nerfs for the opera event in Karazhan
Lower Return to Karazhan is still considered one of the harder dungeons in WoW Season 4: Shadowlands. Despite some nerfs, this is still mainly due to the opera event, the first boss of the instance. But now the developers are unpacking the right hammer and giving the three different events really massive nerfs.
When the current, fourth season of WoW: Shadowlands dungeons from different expansions were thrown together, it was clear that the balancing would not be perfect. After all, the dungeons come from different times when the players had different amounts of player power at their disposal. Added to this were a few problems with scaling and the balancing chaos was complete.
It turned out pretty quickly that the lower return to Karazhan in particular was a real blocker for many groups. A lot of annoying trash in combination with bosses that don’t forgive mistakes (e.g. Attumen) or have high DpS requirements (e.g. the virtuous maiden). That’s why the developers have thrown various nerfs at the dungeon in the past, even robbing bosses of their abilities or making trash mobs disappear.
Fat nerfs for the opera event
But that wasn’t enough. Because the really difficult fight is the opera event. On the one hand because you can only play each event every three weeks, on the other hand because the bosses are extremely scaled up. Countless groups have already dissolved during the first boss, which the developers now want to prevent. That’s why they give the event really massive nerfs.
