WoW: Dragonflight: World map from the PTR shows the extent of the Dragon Islands

WoW: Dragonflight: PTR world map shows extent of Dragon Islands (Update) (1)

from Sebastian Glanzer
In the WoW: Dragonflight beta we were already able to determine the position of the Dragon Islands. With the Test Realm launched, we can now see the true extent of the Dragon Isles on the world map of Azeroth.

Updated September 8, 2022: After the start of the PTR for WoW: Dragonflight, the Dragon Islands are now also visible on the map. In the image below you can see the extent of the land masses on the world map of Azeroth. By the way, the red crosses mark them Primalist Invasions – an endgame content of WoW: Dragonflight.

With WoW: Dragonflight, a previously hidden land mass is emerging in World of Warcraft that the seafarers of Azeroth have never encountered before. With the Launch of the Dragonflight beta now we know where the dragon islands are located on the world map. After a short pre-quest in Orgrimmar or Stormwind, we sail with the boat seen on the world map to the northeast.

Using the dashed route from the beta server showing our boat’s direction of travel to the Dragon Isles, we saw that the Dragon Isles are east of Northrend and quite a bit north of Kul Tiras. The world map from the PTR now confirms that the Dragon Islands are indeed in that position.

There must not be many more hidden islands

The northeast position confirms what has already been suggested in interviews and lore books. Pandaria, the Broken Islands, Zandalar and Kul Tiras …. The fact that the sailors of Azeroth are not exactly the best explorers or simply tell us nothing about their sightings is in WoW (buy now ) now become a meme.
