The starting area of ​​the hero class is currently overrun mainly because WoW retail players in WoW: Shadowlands receive the special Frostbrood Protowyrm mount when they complete the Death Knight starting area. Some tasks in the Death Knight starting area are made more difficult by the massive crowd of players. One of them is the final Quest Light of Dawn, which seems to be bugged. The solution to this bug is quite simple.

You ride northwest through the cave to get to Light’s Hope Chapel. There you speak with Highlord Darion Mograine, who is just outside. Talk to him to start the final battle and beat your way through the crowds.

Just join the RP in front of Light’s Hope Chapel. Usually the quest Light of Dawn has already been started by another player. You don’t necessarily have to fight the final battle to complete the quest.

Exactly this point does not seem to work for some players. The simple solution: either speak to Darion Mograine again to start the battle, or ride straight to Light’s Hope Chapel. In most cases, the quest Light of Dawn in WotLK Classic does not start because another player has already started the battle. Usually, this player has already unlocked the RP spectacle between Tirion and the Lich King.

Just wait until the RP ends, then the quest will be considered complete for you too. But stay close by. That way, you don’t even have to take part in the battle. Admittedly, the Light of Dawn quest is still confusing.
