Cryofuze Violet: Purple thermal compound from Cooler Master

Cryofuze Violet: Purple thermal compound from Cooler Master

from Maurice Riebling
Cooler Master brings some color under the CPU cooler with the Cryofuze Violet. Instead of going for a monotonous gray, the manufacturer uses a purple color scheme to stand out from the competition. But you also want to convince in terms of performance.

Is your own gaming bolide not colorful enough despite extensive RGB lighting? Then the new thermal paste from Cooler Master could help. It doesn’t come in the boring uniform gray, but in bright purple.

The appropriate name “Cryofuze Violet” once again underlines the fact of the colored heat-conducting paste, which in the previous Cryofuze only applied to the tube without an additional name. For the Cryofuze Violet, Cooler Master speaks of the “next generation” and advertises nanoparticles for improved thermal conductivity.

According to the announcement, this is 12.6 W/mK, which is a lower value than the normal thermal paste of the Cryofuze series. Here the data sheet mentions 14 W/mK. Apart from that, Cooler Master also promises an optimized and ideal viscosity, electrically insulating properties and connection. This would simplify application and removal.

Another not insignificant advantage is that the Cryofuze Violet is resistant to oxidation and therefore does not harden over the period of use after application. The manufacturer specifies the temperature range over which the thermal paste can be used without any problems from -50 degrees Celsius to +240 degrees Celsius. This would make it easy to use even in extreme scenarios.

The Cryofuze Violet is sold in tubes, each containing 2 grams. There is also the obligatory plastic spatula and a cleaning cloth for removing old thermal paste. A price is missing in the announcement. Also, the paste does not seem to be available from local retailers yet. Accordingly, patience is required in this regard.
